CAPTAINS MIKES BIO.......

CAPT. MIKE TAKOVICH IS A NATIVE TO SOUTH FLORIDA AND THE LOWER KEYS AND HAS FISHIED THE WATERS OF THE KEYS FLATS AND BVLUE WATER SINCE THE AGE OF 5 OR 6 TEARS OLD MIKE HAS A FORMER CAREER IN YACHTING. BIGGEST YACHTS HE HAS CAPTAINED WAS 184 FOOT LONG MGA YACHT CALLED DREAM OWNED BY THE MULTI MILLIONAIR WHO STARTED WITH A PARTNER THE HOME SHOPPING NETWORK!

Stretching from the bottom of Florida and heading south to the keys lays a body of water called Florida Bay. It is this vast area of shallow waters and mangrove islands referred to as the Backcountry. Practically all of Florida Bay is situated in Everglades National Park, which has restricted development of any kind with the exception of Flamingo Visitor center located at the end of the park road, this is truly a remote wilderness area. This strange world of half land half water is still home of the alligator, panther, deer, raccoons, birds of all shapes and sizes just to name a few. But best of all it is home to some of the finest light tackle fishing in the world. Snook, redfish, sea trout and tarpon are just a some of the species you could encounter on a backcountry fishing trip .
Check out Capt.Mike and FLY TRAP CHARTERS for a look at some backcountry fish And catch your fiush of a lifetime!
